School Information
Meridith Dunbar Early Childhood Academy serves Prekindgarten students and students enrolled in our ECSE program only.
Our Campus Schedule:
7:15 am: Doors Open for students to enter the building and go to the cafeteria for breakfast. Students that ride the bus to Meridith from their elementary home campus are taken to the cafeteria to eat breakfast when their bus arrives on campus.
7:15 - 7:40 am: Breakfast; all students are eligible to receive free breakfast.
7:40 - 3:20 pm: Instruction Time- Students receive daily classroom instruction, recess, and lunch (all students are also eligible to receive free lunch). Students will also visit a specials area daily to include Art, Gym, Nature Explorers, Math Enrichment, or Library.
2:30-3:20 pm: For the safety of our students, please do not pick up students during this time or change how a child is getting home.
3:20 pm: Dismissal

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
Arrival:
· Car Riders: Please use the parent traffic loop located off E. Avenue K at the back of the school for drop-offs. Please have students exit the driver’s side of the vehicle to ensure student safety. A staff member will assist your child in exiting the vehicle and entering the school.
· Walk-Ups: Walk-Ups will use the cafeteria door for drop-off located on 30th street. Please walk your student all the way up the sidewalk to the door where they will be received by our staff.
Dismissal:
· Car Riders: Please use the parent traffic loop located off E. Avenue K at the back of the school for drop-offs. Please display your child's dismissal tag clearly in your vehicle windshield for easy identification. Our staff will walk them to the car and assist them with entering through the driver’s side of your vehicle.
· Walk-Ups: Walk-Ups will use the cafeteria door located on 30th street for pick-up. Please form a line against the wall for walk-ups. Please bring your dismissal tag and ID to dismissal every day.
Important:
· Please ensure your child brings their backpack daily and that their dismissal tag is attached to the handle to facilitate a smooth arrival and dismissal.
· All visitors must sign in at the front office upon arrival.
· If your child arrives after 7:40 am, please bring your child to the front office to sign them in.

Llegada:
- Quienes viajan en automóvil: utilicen el circuito de tráfico para padres ubicado en E. Avenue K en la parte trasera de la escuela para dejar a sus hijos. Despida de carros:
- Padres por favor utilicen el círculo de tráfico para padres localizado en E. Avenida K en la parte detras de la escuela para dejar a sus hijos. Muestre claramente la etiqueta de despedida de su hijo en el parabrisas de su vehículo para una identificación fácil. Nuestro personal los acompañará hasta el automóvil y les ayudará a subir por el lado del conductor de su vehículo.
- Personas caminando: Las personas que caminan para dejar a su hijo utilizarán la puerta de la cafetería localizada en la calle 30 para recogerlos. Por favor forme una fila contra la pared. Por favor traiga su etiqueta de espedida y su tarjeta de identificación todos los días.
- Asegúrese de que su hijo traiga su mochila diariamente y que su etiqueta de despedida esté adherida para facilitar la llegada y salida sin problemas.
- Todos los visitantes deben registrarse en la oficina principal cuando vengan a visitar.
