Welcome to Meridith-Dunbar Early Childhood Academy

 

Hello Panther Cub Families,

 

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Meridith-Dunbar Early Childhood Academy! My name is Dr. Teresa Kurz, and I am honored to serve as the principal of this incredible campus. I am passionate about early childhood education and committed to giving every Panther Cub a strong, high-quality start to their learning journey. We want our students to develop the confidence, curiosity, and skills they need for success in school and beyond.

 

This year, our theme is Bee Amazing! At Meridith-Dunbar, being amazing is not about being perfect. It is about showing kindness, trying new things, learning from mistakes, helping others, and growing a little more each day. Every Panther Cub brings something special to our school community, and together, we create a place where every child can belong, learn, and shine.

 

Our dedicated teachers and staff work each day to help students become confident learners, creative thinkers, problem-solvers, and kind friends. Through engaging instruction, intentional learning experiences, and Conscious Discipline, our Panther Cubs develop the academic and social-emotional skills they need to build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.

 

We believe education is most powerful when schools and families work together. We look forward to partnering with you through Meet the Teacher, parent conferences, Panther Parent Academies, family events, and many other opportunities throughout the year. Your involvement and partnership are important parts of your child’s success and help make our school community strong.

 

We are excited for a year filled with joyful learning, meaningful connections, and incredible growth. Together, we will encourage every Panther Cub to Bee Amazing in their own special way!
